When Sig Cox Shows Up For You

Why You Should Consider an Update

Homeowners in Georgia have the opportunity to benefit from various federal tax credits and rebates provided by Georgia Power.

Wondering why you should consider upgrading your heating system? By investing in the improvement of your home’s heating and air equipment, you not only enjoy monthly savings on your energy bill but also contribute to the preservation of Georgia’s natural resources. In a bid to encourage homeowners to embrace more sustainable practices, both the federal government and the state energy provider have initiated programs to make the process of upgrading your equipment more cost-effective.

Federal HVAC Tax Credits

Many of the federal tax credits for homeowners purchasing energy-efficient equipment in the current year have been renewed for the following year. These federal tax credits provide incentives to homeowners to make their homes more energy efficient by installing ENERGY STAR certified equipment in their homes.

Equipment with the ENERGY STAR rating uses less energy and minimizes the negative impact on our environment. If you choose to install this equipment in your home, you may be eligible for tax credits.

Here is a list of ENERGY STAR equipment currently eligible for federal tax incentives. You can view a full list here.
